Following the success of the WINDCATCHER X-Air which is the next generation of our natural ventilation systems, we have now added the SOLA-BOOST technology to this range of natural ventilation systems and this product is proving just as popular.  The SOLA-BOOST X-Air has the same features as the original GRP SOLA-BOOST systems that allow them to provide additional ventilation performance during sunny conditions.

Monodraught, the natural ventilation specialist, has introduced a new range of high-performance VENTSAIR natural ventilation louvre systems. These systems can be supplied as either stand-alone natural ventilation or to complement the range of WINDCATCHER® natural ventilation systems providing additional low level ventilation through perimeter openings.

Monodraught was compelled to introduce the system at the request of contractors and specifiers to fill the gap in the market for high specification perimeter ventilation systems. The systems paired with Monodraught’s Quantum damper provide class-leading air tightness and thermal performance. Manufactured from high specification extruded aluminium alloy and supplied as standard with integral security bars, gives VENTSAIR systems an exceptionally durable finish to match its performance.

The range of VENTSAIR systems are suitable for both internal and external applications and are also available with an acoustic baffle where transfer of noise is a concern.

MONODRAUGHT Introduces New High Performance “QUANTUM” Damper

Natural ventilation specialist Monodraught has introduced a new high-performance damper for its range of Windcatcher natural ventilation systems. The new Quantum damper achieves a class leading 0.25 l/s air leakage level at 50 Pa pressure compared to Class 4 dampers that typically provide 1l/s air leakage at 50 Pa. This is equivalent to an air tightness level of 1.0 m³/h/m² at 50 Pa pressure.

Monodraught claims that the excellent air tightness levels and a U-value of only 1.0W/m²K will help to reduce annual energy costs by minimising heat losses from systems fitted with poorly performing or incorrectly fitted dampers.

Monodraught Seeks BBA Approval for Commercial SUNPIPE Range

Monodraught has announced that it is seeking BBA Approval for its commercial Sunpipe natural daylight systems, which include 300mm, 450mm, 530mm and 750mm models.

Commenting on the decision, managing director Tony Cull says: “As well as enabling us to tender for business that specifically requires the approval; we also believe that Monodraught will be the only manufacturer to offer a BBA Approved range of pipe-based natural lighting systems suitable for medium and large commercial applications.”

Sunpipes are currently undergoing exhaustive independent testing and auditing to confirm Monodraught’s performance claims and quality guarantees. The process includes UV testing of the diamond dome to confirm its longevity and durability, as well as assessing the performance of Sunpipes in reflecting and intensifying natural daylight along a given section of tube. It is expected that testing will take up to three months.
