Monodraught systems had a very high score at the recently opened Wembley Park Academy, a total of 67 systems were installed! Due to noise sensitivity within the Academy, acoustics were a major consideration during the design of the ventilation strategy. AECOM were the consultants for the project, they commented that: “The Windcatchers were used primarily in spaces where we couldn’t naturally ventilate using opening windows. For example, opening windows weren’t a viable solution in the standard classrooms due to the acoustic requirements needed to minimise noise on the site.”
